I love Green Smoothies

green smoothie

It’s been about 2 weeks now, and I’ve been making green smoothies for the family.  Mainly consisting of spinach, frozen banana and mango.  I have to say that when I first tried it at The Raw Kitchen in Fremantle,  although I was curious and open to having it, I did expect it to taste rather vegetable like and well, yuk! .  Much to my surprise and delight, it just tasted like a banana smoothie!

I was hooked on the idea because of the health benefits.

Not only have I felt much clearer in my thinking and processing but I feel like I have more energy too. The rest of the family feels the same.

Now I know that this isn’t normally what you would call a culinary sensation post that I would normally blog on but its not all about the taste for me, health comes first! …except when it comes to chocolates!

I couldn’t believe how simple it was to make the smoothie, just a few handfuls of baby spinach, 2 frozen bananas and a handful of frozen mango, some water and speed 10 in my thermomix, then whaala!

Give it a go if you haven’t tried a green smoothie!

Hi Rae, I have only been to the Raw Kitchen once for that smoothie but Ive heard so much about it that I had to try it out. I love it there. The atmosphere was great, especially on a warm spring day!

I highly recommend the thermomix. I have had mine for many years and probably haven't used it as much as I have done in the last year or so. Only due to laziness of learning something new. You'd love it!….I'mreally happy I have one in our kitchen because it means that others cook too now, not just me!

I am so going to the Raw Kitchen thanks, very green, looks yummy

Glad you are back, I have been debating the Thermomix for age, does it warrant the cost?
